Indian Cooking Tips: Master The Art Of Making Perfect Lachha Parathas
A little skill is involved in preparing the perfect paratha and it takes some practice to get the crispness and thickness of the bread to get it right.
The paratha is served hot. The delicious North Indian flatbread has many layers and can be prepared in both stuffed and plain forms. There are many types of parathas too and can be prepared using a range of different foods from whole wheat to ancient grains like ragi and bajra.

They are best enjoyed with some fresh homemade white butter or cold yoghurt/ raita. Lacha Paratha is enjoyed with many types of vegetarian and non-vegetarian curries and vegetables. A little skill is involved in preparing the perfect paratha and it takes some practice to get the crispness and thickness of the bread to get it right.
The first step to making any flatbread is definitely to make a soft and pliable dough. The dough should be kneaded continuously by adding water to the parts until a good stretch and soft consistency are achieved.
The dough is then divided into balls and flattened with the help of a rolling pin. For Lacha Paratha, you have to roll the dough balls into very thin, flat rounds. Make sure you use a clean surface of the wood to clean the dough.
You can continue to smoothen the flattened dough with dry flour and oil to keep it from sticking to the rolling pin. Then twist the rounds for a long time, bit by bit, until you get a strip of assembled dough.
