Regular Tea Drinkers May Have Better Brain Structure Than Non-Tea Drinkers: Study
A new study has specifically looked at the effect of regular consumption of tea on the structure of our brain.
Tea is one of the most popular caffeinated beverages worldwide. The drink contains many varieties and each has varying caffeine levels. At the same time, it has gained a broad, almost universal appeal, even if there are differences in preparations and recipes.
There is some scattered evidence indicating the benefits of drinking tea, in which some studies have talked about the benefits of tea for the brain. A new study has specifically looked at the effect of regular consumption of tea on the structure of our brain.
The study notes that regular tea drinkers can have an advantage over non-drinkers, in that they may have better brain structure. The study indicated that drinking tea may lead to greater functional and structural connectivity in the brain.
The study was published in the journal Aging titled "Drinking Agingual Tea Improves Brain Functionality: Evidence from Brain Connectivity Evaluation".
