The beauty of natural hair is that it's extremely versatile, and there's really no limit to all the ways you can let your curls shine. Styles like twist outs and wash and gos, while popular, aren't the end-all-be-all if you're a natural, and whether you're looking to expand your style portfolio or you're simply in the mood to marvel at the beauty of curly hair, we're here to provide you with all the hair inspiration you need.

2020 Natural Hair Trend: Knotless Box Braids

Knotless box braids were everywhere last year, and we're not expecting the style's popularity to die down anytime soon. The difference between these and regular box braids is that knotless braids don't include the small knot that sits at the root of the scalp; instead, synthetic braiding hair is added to the braids using a feed-in technique that allows each braid to feel lighter on one's scalp. Essentially, they've grown in popularity because they cause less tension and don't put as much of a strain on the scalp and edges as regular box braids.

2020 Natural Hair Trend: Tapered Cuts

A tapered haircut is a cut that's normally longer in the front and shorter on the sides and the back of the head. It's the perfect style to consider for anyone who's tempted to get a cut that's short enough to require less maintenance but still has enough length to be versatile.

2020 Natural Hair Trend: Bangs

This year will be all about bangs, but straight bangs aren't the only ones that'll be taking over. More and more naturals are letting their curls flow all around their faces and wearing their hair in shaggier styles, short and long. 

2020 Natural Hair Trend: Angled Bobs

Thanks to the work of New York City-based stylist Mona Baltazar, Afros cut and styled in geometric shapes have seen a huge rise in popularity, and there'll definitely be more where that came from in the year to come.
